Elder Daughtery was wanting lemon cake all week!  Surprise, Sister Bauman made a lemon cake!

It is good enough for two pieces!

 Branch Activity:  Raking leaves at the War Memorial at Friedhof in preparation for National Day of Mourning.  November 17th  is an occasion to remember all victims of war and tyranny.

Missionaries of the Dresden Germany Stake, were asked to form a Missionary Choir for the Saturday Session. We met on Saturday at 11:30 and Practiced until around 3. At the Beginning of the meeting, we sang the song, "We are as the Army of Helaman", and "I'll Go Where You Want Me To Go" as Prelude, and at the Conclusion of the meeting, we sang a version of "Called to Serve."

Elder Adams is always a "bright light" in our district.  Of course, Elder Taylor adds his smiling face!

Thanksgiving was celebrated on Wednesday November 20th in the Görlitz Branch sponsored by the Görlitz Missionaries and supported by the Bautzen Elders! 

We had our own small private celebration on November 27th at District Meeting.

 Welcome home Sister Walker.  She has been called back to Cottbus and the Görlitz District.  She is from Los Angeles, California and loves sports, music and dancing.  Her favorite sport is water polo, she loves competition dancing, anything Disney, cooking, and sharing the gospel. 

 Elder Daugherty--loves drumming--should be an interesting companionship.  Drums and the Viola.  We are in for a big treat!

The weather in Görlitz has been around 90 degrees with 100 % humidity and no air conditioning!

Elder Hellander from Wanship, Utah.  He loves music, music, music, and all competitive sports!

Elder Donner is not new--he is our District Leader and he loves to sing.

Elder Miles comes from Pleasant Grove, Utah.  He loves singing and Parkour which is running, jumping, climbing over, around, and through obstacles.  Elder Thorkelson comes from Rexburg, Idaho.  He loves music.  He plays the trombone, guitar, piano, and sings.  His favorite sports are baseball and wrestling.

 P-Day  July 22, 2013  Landskrone Hike in Görlitz

 Landskrone--the only mountain in Görlitz at 1, 378 ft.   A look out tower, fortress overlooking the entire area.  This is a view in early spring with the golden Raps fields.

Mosquitos called Mücken" are everywhere!  Repellent is the only answer.  I wanted to get a picture of Elder Thorkelson's "bright purple pants" but my camera couldn't or wouldn't believe the true purple color and subdued it by adding blue.
